- Chapter Event: Smart Regulation, challenges and best practices

The regulation process and implementation have been exceptionally costly, highly complex and prolonged in regards to the lead time. Indeed, the duration for implementing regulations together with the ongoing amendments can take up to 10 years.
During the last decade, new technologies such as Blockchain proposing to offer disruptively simpler, faster and cheaper solutions to deal smarter with regulatory challenges.
This event would like to explore ideas about applying smarter regulation in the financial industry. The aim is to have an open dialogue about the challenges, concerns, opportunities and to share best practices to develop Smart Regulation.
