For more than five years Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) – the technology of cryptocurrencies – has been shaking up the financial industry. It threatens the traditional financial business models and decreases intermediations of traditional financial institutions. At the same time it is raises the risk of fraud and money laundering. However, DLT integrates the full value chain of listing, trading, clearing, settlement and Central Securities Depository services. This significantly reduces systemic risk in financial markets: instant settlement, increased transparency and lower transaction costs. Simultaneously it broadens the asset and investor universe. Additionally, new business models will emerge.

Keynote Speaker: Mathias Studach

Mathias Studach is part of the management of SIX Digital Exchange (SDX). SDX will be the first market infrastructure in the world to offer a fully integrated end to end listing, trading, settlement and custody service for digital assets. He has been 10 years at Falcon Private Bank as Head Management Information Services and Head Technology. Mathias holds a Masters Degree of BA, Finance and Management from the University Berne.
