Summary
The presenters will briefly guide the audience to the work of the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (BCBS) and the European Banking Authority (EBA) on assessing the impact of Basel III banking supervision framework, including the cooperation context between the two institutions. The speakers shall present the latest updates on the anticipated impact of final Basel III supervisory framework on international and EU banks. They will also talk about various COVID-19 related issues and measures that both the BCBS and EBA took, including the revised timeline for the implementation of the final framework. The final part of the presentation will focus on the ongoing and scheduled future work. Immediately after the presentation, the speakers will be available to answer to questions from the audience.
