Summary
ESG is here to stay – and it’s not just window dressing either. But what has changed in the last 10 years to make an extremely rational, capitalistic magazine like the Economist state “Go Woke or Go Broke”? Aside the unfortunate title, why does the Economist conclude, that there is no way for businesses to avoid acting more responsibly and more sustainably?
Let’s explore, what S entails and how organizations can benefit from focusing on it.
Presenters
Katja Rieger is an experienced Non-Executive Board Member at Swiss Re Insurance-Linked Investment Management AG, a speaker and advisor at the RiskMindSeries, Founder of Xponential GmbH and Managing Director at Ripple Effect GmbH, Leadership Consultant and Lecturer at ZHAW School of Management and Law.
After almost 20 years in corporate life, she followed her passion and founded her own businesses: training & consulting for organizations to align their strategy and culture, to create credible change journeys, effective leadership and environments that are great to work at.
Having worked across 4 continents (Europe, Asia, US and Africa) mostly in financial services at GE and Swiss Re, she is amazed at the knowledge, experience and rationality of her colleagues in this field. But sometimes this rationality can be a stumbling block in giving due credit to what makes people really tick and to the powerful impact of purpose and culture.
