Life is risk. Understanding and managing those risks allows us to take informed decisions, grow our businesses, and go beyond the known. It is a basic ingredient of any business but also of purely living a life.

Assessing risk and modelling them is not always straightforward, require many assumptions and benefit from different view points and creative thinking. Thus, in my view, good risk management is a team sport and requires curious minds.

Managing risk is an integral part of doing business. Risk managers donโt have to be the nay-sayers though. If done correctly, risk managers are enabling the business to operate the best way possible and support leaders in taking the right decisions.

I absolutely sign on to the Swiss Risk Associationโs mission to strengthen Switzerlandโs expertise in risk management and thus improve our attractiveness as a place of business. I was so lucky as to be able to build up the Cyber Resilience Chapter. Cyber risk is a passion of mine, and I believe that we are contributing to make organizations a bit more cyber resilient. That is very satisfying.
