Monique Jeanne Morrow, Chief Technology Strategist.
With over two decades as a global technology visionary, Monique is a force in cybersecurity, privacy, mobile payments, and emerging technologies like blockchain. Recently affiliated with Sparklabs Accelerator for Cybersecurity and Blockchain and Hedera Hashgraph’s Board, Monique provides invaluable insights for the telecommunications sector. Previously, as a Senior Distinguished Architect at Syniverse Technologies, she shaped the strategic vision for emerging tech. She’s a luminary in start-ups, having roles in AMD, Swisscom, Cisco, and more. She is President and Co-Founder of the Humanized Internet, her emphasis on ethics in technology is profound. Monique’s leadership spans chairing the IEEE P.7030 and P.7016, contributing to global papers, and advocating for digital identity. Monique was named top 50 global tech women by Forbes and top 100 Women in Cybersecurity in Europe. Educated with an MSc in Digital Currency and Blockchain, an MBA, and currently pursuing a doctorate in Cyberpsychology.
Roger Halbheer, Chief Security Advisor @ Microsoft
Roger Halbheer has been working in the field of security and risk management for over 20 years. He was Microsoft’s Chief Security Advisor for Switzerland, then for EMEA, and then for global operations. He subsequently worked as the Group Chief Security Officer at Swisscom, reporting directly to the CEO. He then served as Managing Director at Accenture. Today he is back at Microsoft as Chief Security Advisor. Roger holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from ETH Zurich and is a Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP).
Tom Schmidt, EMEIA Financial Services Cybersecurity Competency Leader at EY Switzerland
Tom has more than 30 years’ experience in information technology and more than 20 years of practical Information Security, Cybersecurity, Cyber Risk Management and IT risk and regulatory compliance experience. Tom is seasoned in leading and providing cybersecurity assessments, cybersecurity consulting projects, IT security audits, IT and Cyber Risk Management projects, Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) and general IT audit and consulting services for national and international clients in the Financial Services and Industry sectors. He has also led several Cloud Risk / Cloud Security and SWIFT Customer Security Program (CSP) projects. Tom is a Certified Business Economist FH/HWV and holds a diploma in Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) Information Security.
SFI Prof. Andrea Barbon, Assistant Professor in Financial Technology at the Center for Financial Services Innovation at the University of St.Gallen (FSI-HSG)
Andrea Barbon teaches “Mathematics for Finance” to PhD students and “Financial Technology” to Master students. He is also a Swiss Finance Institute (SFI) Faculty Member. He was born in Venice and holds a Bachelor’s degree in pure and applied mathematics from the University of Padua, a Master’s degree in pure mathematics from the University of Amsterdam and a PhD in finance from the University of Lugano. His research interests revolve around financial technology with a focus on decentralized finance (DeFi), NFT markets, asset prices, market microstructure, and monetary policy. He has published in the Journal of Finance and the Review of Asset Pricing Studies.

National Cyber Security events
The National Cyber Security Event is an annual event series featured by SIX, Swiss Risk Association (SRA) and Swiss Finance Institute (SFI). It is our aim to inform the public about Cyber Risk and Cyber Security developments and trends every year. We kicked of in 2020 with the 1st National Cyber Security Event and jointly organized the 2nd National Cyber Security Event and 3rd National Cyber Security Event. We are now looking forward to the 4th installment of this event!
