- Darko Stefanoski, Lead Digital Law team for financial services clients at EY in Switzerland
For over 10 years at EY, Darko has been advising clients in setting up various financial institutions. Accompanying them during license application procedures with various regulators/authorities as well as bringing the operating model to live. He also has been advising various companies regarding digitization, blockchain, cryptocurrencies, digital assets and token structuring, including interaction with regulators as well as M&A and legal/regulatory due diligence. He is an Attorney-at-law and Notary Public, and has a law degree from the University of Zurich (UZH), a Certificate of Advanced Studies UZH in Financial Market Law, and a LLM UZH in International Banking and Finance Law. - Dr. Alexander Thoma, Head of Digital Assets at PostFinance AG
Alexander Thoma has been working at PostFinance since 2020 and is currently the Head of Digital Assets. In this role, he is responsible for all products and initiatives in the area of digital assets and represents PostFinance both internally and externally in this area. He holds a doctorate degree (Ph.D.) in economics from the University of Zurich and is a certified digital assets analyst (CDAA). Before he came to PostFinance, Alexander Thoma co-founder of Alethena, a pioneer in tokenization in Switzerland. Mr. Thoma is in the expert group of the Swiss Blockchain Federation (SBF), the Swiss Bankers Association (SBA) and the Asset Management Association Switzerland (AMAS). He is also a founding member of Digital Assets Switzerland. - Andreas Ruflin, Chief Digital Officer (CDO) at BX Digital
Andreas Ruflin has spent the last 20 years working his way through the value chain of the financial services industry from the very front to the very back. Starting with securities front-office systems, through mid- and back-office services, to financial market infrastructure. About 3 years ago, Andreas was mandated by Börse Stuttgart Group to design trading and settlement services for digital assets. Börse Stuttgart Group is the 6th largest exchange group in Europe with comprehensive range of crypto-currency services, but until now without an offering for digital assets. One year ago, Börse Stuttgart Group founded a subsidiary in Switzerland, BX Digital AG. As Chief Digital Officer, Andreas Ruflin is responsible for the service offering, the infrastructure, and operations. - Patrick Meyer, Head Private Banking Compliance CH & Europe at Julius Bär
For 14 years at BJB, Patrick has been advising Front Relationship Managers and Senior Management regarding KYC/AML/DD and client onboarding topics also in different leadership roles. He also has been advising various internal stakeholders regarding blockchain, cryptocurrencies, digital assets and legal/regulatory due diligence (he acts as PB Compliance Digital Assets SME at Bank Julius Baer & Co Ltd in Zurich). He has a law degree from the University of Berne (Master of Law), a Leadership training at IMD Lausanne and is a Certified Crypto Finance Expert (CCFE).
