Summary

We are excited to launch the new chapter Liquidity Risk: We will dive into participants’ experiences with risk appetite, modeling, frameworks, and asset/liability management, exploring regulatory and 2023 crisis impacts on risk management practices. The first event of the series is “changes required post 2023 banking crisis?”

In 2023 we have seen banks in US losing the majority of their deposits in hours and other bank’s losing trust and business within days. If everybody can move money “en masse” in a matter of days is this the end of traditional banking? Should banks rethink their business model and adjust their risk appetite?

SRA discusses these strategic risk issues with Gian Marco Martino, Katja Pluto and Kim Fox. The discussion will delve on the topics of the changes to Board’s liquidity risk appetite in the digital era, integrated stress testing and crisis preparedness, and changes to banking business model.

Join us and take your chance to debate with our experts on what balance sheet risks a bank can really afford and what is to be expected in 2024!
