Summary
Financial institutions need to define a risk appetite for all material risks they are exposed to. However, many important risks are very difficult to quantify, especially in the operational risk and compliance domain. We will explore how risk appetite can be expressed for such risks, and how they can be managed in practice to remain within a stated risk appetite / tolerance. The speakers will provide a view from the banking and the insurance industry.
