Summary

Distributed Ledger Technology is reshaping the financial services industry. The technology has given rise to the whole new asset class of Digital Assets (crypto currencies, security tokens, …) and promises to deliver unseen process efficiency. It is therefore no surprise that the number of banks and fintechs launching related services is growing, with use cases ranging from Digital Assets Custody & Brokerage to Tokenization in Institutional Banking.

However, dealing with DLT and Digital Assets is complex operationally and gives rise to new and / or shifted risks. Hence, given the importance of the topic, risk divisions within financial institutions are required to proactively engage with the topic, understand the related risks, and, thereafter, derive a risk conscious implementation plan based on a suitable risk appetite.

In this event you will learn:

  • What Digital Assets & Distributed Ledger Technology are and how they are reshaping financial services industry.
  • What risks are involved in dealing with DLT & Digital Assets
  • How risks related to DLT & Digital Assets can be mitigated by a financial services institute
  • How a risk appetite can be defined
